The B.O.D. can be used in three kind of fields.
1. Studio recording.
Think about most studios, were during the recording process the sound guitar speakers are being picked by overheads of the drums. And ofcourse vise versa. By using one or more B.O.D. you easily enlarge the capacity of your recording studio. Now you can record a full band in relative small room.. think about that !
2. Home recording.
To be able to record your guitars (or bass) untill the early morning would be great. Alas, you still need a place to live and you have to keep you neighbours happy. Ever tried to record a 4 x 12" with microphone at home, with your volume on 0.2 ? You need to cranck up that amp to get that speaker working..
The B.O.D. alows you to record your guitars on a normal sound level, but without the noise level it normally creates. With the lid closed, the sound of the speaker is reduced to praticly nothing.
3. Live on stage.
More and more musicians start using in ear systems. The benefits of in ears are immediately killed by the immense sound levels on stage. Why crack up the backline while the sound gets directly into your ears ?
The B.O.D. can be found on many stages, used by musicians who want to be in control. No problems with sound interferance on stage. And every where you play, you have exactly the same sound and conditions.. created by your B.O.D.
Technical information
The outer casing:
The Box of Doom is based upon the box-in-box construction to create the best insulation and absorbtion as possible. Most musicians travel a lot and most of the time the gear takes some pounding.
The Box of Doom's outer shell is made of heavy duty flightcase material. Infact we used the most heavy duty material we could find.. To be able to transport the B.O.D. there are four 100 mm wheels, two of them are with brakes.
Each B.O.D. comes with two grips on both sides, for easy lifting.
The "core":
The inner part of the B.O.D. is were the magic happens.
A Box of Doom comes standard with all connections already in place. The speaker can be easily taken out thanks to the cassette system. The Box of Doom will be delivered with a Celestion Vintage 30 and gooseneck for microphone placement. Microphone and connection cord is not included in the price, neither is the mic adapter. (See the pricelist for options.)

With the lid open, the black and white interieur of the B.O.D. immediately grabs your attention. The use of high tech materials combines the best of both worlds: good looks and great performance.

A close-up of the inside. The cassette holds a celestion vintage 30 speaker. The speaker can easily be taken out to be replaced by for example a other type of speaker. Also you have the possibility to place the speaker in one of the two slots, to give some room for experimentation.

Microphone (XLR) and amplifier (1/4 jack connection) connections can be found on the back of the B.O.D. |
