| MUSIC DISTRIBUTION
A good album is completely worthless without a decent outlet. Ofcourse your friends will buy some albums and your local recordstore will probably make some space in the racks for you. A decent production probably cost more than you can sell to your friends.. What is the value of a good review in the Rolling Stone if the enthousiastic 'potential' buyer can't buy it in the local stores?
Distribution is the key in your succes story. The last couple of years the bussiness has changed in such a way that new talent is ignored by the major companies. If an artist is not a guaranteed money maker a label is very reluctant to sign a deal. An artist has more chance via indenpendent distribution, thanks to small companies dedicated to distribution of indy bands.
